What is CareLink at Home?+
CareLink at Home is a proactive home safety and care oversight service for older adults aging in place. We combine medical alert systems and passive smart sensors with human oversight, bi-weekly wellness reports, and care navigation - filling the gap between in-person caregiver visits. Based in Cedar Knolls, NJ - serving families locally and medical alert customers nationwide.
How is CareLink at Home different from a home care agency?+
CareLink at Home does not provide hands-on care. We provide safety technology, oversight, reporting, and care navigation that fills the gap between in-person care visits. We work alongside home care agencies, home health, and family caregivers - not instead of them.
Do I need to be in New Jersey?+
Medical alert systems are available and shipped nationwide. Our professional installation service for the Care Oversight Bundle is available in Morris, Essex, Bergen, and Passaic Counties in New Jersey, with surrounding counties served by request.

What medical alert systems do you offer?+
CareLink at Home is an authorized dealer for Connect America (LifeLine brand) and Medical Guardian. We offer mobile PERS devices with fall detection, GPS, and family apps - plus a personal service layer including device selection help, onboarding support, battery oversight, and monthly check-in calls.
Do I need a landline or Wi-Fi?+
No. Our mobile PERS devices use cellular networks - they work at home and anywhere, without a landline or Wi-Fi.
Is the device waterproof?+
Yes - our devices are water-resistant and designed to be worn in the shower, one of the highest-risk locations for falls.
What if my loved one has dementia and won’t wear it?+
For individuals likely to remove a wearable, our Care Oversight Bundle offers passive options - motion sensors, audio systems, and sleep sensors - that don’t require wearing anything.

What sensors do you use?+
We select from audio-based care insight systems, motion sensors, contactless radar-based under-mattress sleep sensors, and optional environmental sensors. We match the technology to the person, not the other way around.
Is there a camera?+
No cameras are used in any CareLink at Home service. Privacy and dignity are central to our design. All systems are non-visual and work passively in the background.
What does the Wellness Report include?+
Bi-weekly Wellness Summary Reports combine data from active sensors into one readable update, benchmark current patterns against previous reports, highlight meaningful changes, and include actionable recommendations from a CareLink at Home Navigator.

Is there a contract?+

How do I refer a patient or client?+
Call or email us directly, or use our online referral form on the Partners page. We have referral partner materials available and are happy to meet with discharge planners, social workers, and care managers.
Does CareLink at Home work alongside home health services?+
Yes - this is one of our most common arrangements. CareLink at Home provides oversight and early awareness between skilled nursing or therapy visits, which can help identify changes warranting re-certification. We do not interfere with home health documentation or workflow.
